Olya ~ скрипач (violinist)

I spent a beautiful afternoon of music, talking, tea and photos with a great violinist, Olya Curtis (nee Berdyeva). Olya, originally from Turkmenistan, plays with the Vector Wellington Orchestra. I felt quite privileged seeing her play her violin, but it was also a pleasure to see how she prepares and takes care of her violin before any practice or concert. Her beautiful violin was made for her in 1996 by Swiss-born violin, viola and cello maker, Adrian Studer, who is now based in Nelson.
