Senior Pets ~ Carmela the Beagle

Meet Carmela! Carmela is one of the dogs from a series I’m working on about Senior Pets.

Carmela was known as Mary, before being adopted seven years ago from HUHA (Helping You Help Animals), which is based in Kaitoke, Upper Hutt. Like all the pets in my Senior Pets series, she has her own unique story to tell. Carmela spent many of her days as a lab-test beagle until she was rescued and taken to HUHA, where she finally got adopted by a loving couple. Carmela is soon to be 14, which according to the Pet Health Network is in the mid-70s in human years.
