I haven’t posted anything lately! I’ve been on a little holiday in the Middle East and Europe. Since coming back, I got quite busy with commercial work, and preparing a few entries to the annual photography awards of the NZ Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP). I was thrilled to receive a Silver for this image in the travel category. This photo was taken in Valencia, Spain, at La Lonja – the city’s silk and commodity market in the 15th century. The architecture was so fascinating, and while admiring it I saw this little girl so engrossed in her electronic game. I thought she was missing a chance to learn about this beautiful place – but then I also thought it was a good photo opportunity. I’m really happy to know the judges agreed with me … Congratulations to all the winners in the 2017 NZIPP Iris Awards – Travel Category – you can view all the images here.
For more images of Spanish-style architecture, take a look at my post on Semana Santa in UNESCO World Heritage-listed San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Congratulations on your silver award Alicia. That is an awesome photo.
