A Petone wedding!
Justin and Karen got married at St Augustine’s Anglican church in Petone. Karen is a music teacher and some of her students from Musical Stars participated in the ceremony singing Jason Mraz’s “I’m yours”. But the musical talent did not finish there, some of her friends performed during the reception at Jetty Café, and Karen herself played a song dedicated to Justin. Also, the newlyweds showed their dancing skills during the first dance: “Exactly Like You”, a jazz standard that has been covered by many famous singers from Louis Armstrong to Diana Krall. By the time I left people were dancing to Brazilian music.
